Individual Therapy
It is in the process of embracing our imperfections that we find
our truest gifts: courage, compassion, and connection.
-Brene Brown

Individual therapy looks a lot like a conversation with a good friend. But the gift is that it's a one-way friendship where it's all about you! You get to talk about whatever you want and need to say. I get to listen carefully, reflect what I hear to make sure you feel understood, affirm and encourage your strengths, and ask questions to clarify or help you think more deeply about your concerns. Therapy is different from a conversation with a good friend because I have some emotional distance from your life, which enables me to listen with an outside point of view.

While life presents challenges, I believe that you are fundamentally strong and resilient. With the help of a trusted guide who listens and supports you, I believe the therapy process can help further develop your strengths and resiliency.

Drawing from principles of Narrative Therapy, Positive Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I will approach our work together with warmth, concern, curiosity, and encouragement. I will focus on building an authentic connection between us, and it will be my privilege to be a part of your journey.
